Overview

Ask volunteers to walk door-to-door with specific scripts and questions.  It provides your volunteers with walking routes for specific neighborhoods and tracks the feedback they gather.

Ask supporters to Go Door-to-Door

Note: If you haven’t already done so, you must first install the Action Plugin and then setup at least one Kit.

We also recommend exploring the various widgets and APIs that can be used to integrate this Action into the rest of your online and offline tools.

Mobilize It

 

To mobilize the the Go Door-to-door Action:

  1. Click the "Mobilize" button from any location within the Staff App.  
  2. Select who you want to complete this Action by segment or individual supporters.  
  3. Select the Action "Go Door-to-Door Action".
  4. Select the Action Kit which you previously created.
  5. Select which route you would like to mobilize.
  6. Click mobilize.
  7. Those supporters who accept the Door-to-Door Action will receive the Walk Sheets to download.

Install It

 

To install this action:
 
  1. Go to the Platform Config section and select Action Plugins.    
  2. Locate this action and click "Install" to load it into your V3 Platform.  

 

Next Step: Once your Go Door-to-Door Action is installed, you'll want to setup one or more Kits.

Set Up the Kits

 

  1. Go to the Platform Config section and select Action Plugins.
  2. Choose the "Go Door-to-Door" Action Plugin.
  3. Select "New Action Kit" and complete the fields required.
  4. Click "Save" to create the Action Kit.
  5. You must now create your Walk Routes by clicking "Add Routes" at left.
  6. Select a Starting Location for your Routes.  You can select either a Street (top Streets sorted by population) or a Specific Address as your Starting Location.
  7. A shaded radius appears on your map (at bottom of the map, you have options to expand this radius up to 3 miles and to select a households-per-street minimum if desired).
  8. Streets are designated by green circles.  Click these circles to select the Streets for your Route.  Note:  The order in which you select these streets is irrelevant.  Streets will appear on walk lists in alphabetical order accompanied with a map so that volunteers can walk/drive their preferred route.
  9. When you have selected all desired Street for your Route, select "Save Route" at bottom.
  10. You will now have the ability to create another Route.

 

Next Step: You are now ready to Mobilize.
