Overview

Ask supporters to Tweet specific messages on Twitter.  It's one of the easiest ways to extend the reach of your message to your every single one of your supporters’ Twitter followers. 

Ask supporters to Post on Twitter

Note: If you haven’t already done so, you must first install the Action Plugin and then setup at least one Kit.

We also recommend exploring the various widgets and APIs that can be used to integrate this Action into the rest of your online and offline tools.

Mobilize It

To mobilize the Post on Twitter action:

  1. Click the "Mobilize" button from any location within the Staff App.  
  2. Select who you want to complete this Action by segment or individual supporters.  
  3. Personalize the body of the message that your supporters will receive.
  4. Select the Action "Post on Twitter"
  5. Select your Action Kit which you previously created
  6. Click mobilize. 

Install It

To install this action:

  1. Go to the Platform Config section and select Action Plugins.    
  2. Locate this action and click "Install" to load this Action into your V3 Platform. 

 

Next Step: Once your Post on Twitter Action is installed, you'll want to setup one or more Kits.

Set Up the Kits

To set up this Action Kit:  

  1. Go to the Platform Config section and select Action Kits.  
  2. Select "New Action Kit" for the Post to Twitter action.

 

Basic Details

  1. Give the kit a name.  This is for your records in the Staff App.  
  2. Describe the purpose of the Action.  The purpose will explain to each supporter why it is important for them to Tweet this message. 
  3. Set a goal.  i.e. How many people do you want to Tweet this message?

 

Action Details

  1. Give the Action a title.  This is the message your supporters will see.  For example, "Spread our message! Tweet to Twitter!".  
  2. Set the amount of Personal Impact supporters will get by completing this Action. 
  3. Suggest a message for your supporters to Tweet.  They will be able to edit this message.
  4. Enter the Required Text.  This message isn't editable by the supporters, and must be included in the Tweet.
  5. Set the Personal Impact to be received once the Action is completed.

 

Next Step: You are now ready to Mobilize.
