Overview
Ask supporters to view a specific webpage and track when they do it. Quickly drive traffic to online polls or share breaking news with your supporters. Whatever the site is, see who is going.
Ask supporters to View Website
Note: If you haven’t already done so, you must first install the Action Plugin and then setup at least one Kit.
We also recommend exploring the various widgets and APIs that can be used to integrate this Action into the rest of your online and offline tools.
Mobilize It
To mobilize the View Website action:
- Click the "Mobilize" button from any location within the Staff App.
- Select who you want to complete this Action by segment or individual supporters.
- Personalize the body of the message that your supporters will receive.
- Select the Action "View Website"
- Select your Action Kit which you previously created
- Click mobilize.
Install It
To install this action:
- Go to the Platform Config section and select Action Plugins.
- Locate this action and click "Install" to load it into your V3 Platform.
Next Step: Once your View Website Action is installed, you'll want to setup one or more Kits.
Set Up the Kits
To set up this Action Kit:
- Go to the Platform Config section and select Action Kits.
- Select "New Action Kit" for the View Website action.
Basic Details
- Give the kit a name. This is for your records in the Staff App.
- Describe the purpose of the Action. The purpose will explain to each supporter why it is important for them to view this website.
- Set a goal. i.e. How many people do you want to go to this website?
Action Details
- Enter the Website URL of the website you want your supporters to view.
- Give the Action a title. This is the message your supporters will see. For example, "Breaking News! Check out this site!".
- Set the amount of Personal Impact supporters will get by completing this Action.
- If you want the site to open in a new window, check the box.
